When Walt Disney's daughters asked him to make a movie of your favorite book, PL Travers Mary Poppins (1964), he made a promise - one that he did not realize it would take 20 years to hold. In their quest to obtain the rights, Walt runs into one, unyielding, sullen writer who has left absolutely no intention his nanny beloved magical catch by the Hollywood machine. But how to sell more books and the money short, Travers reluctantly agrees to go to Los Angeles to listen to Disney's plans to adapt.
